Amateur Movie Review Hour

I like writing and movies so I figured I'd write about movies.

apparently e.l. james called former child star mara wilson (matilda) a “sad fuck” for critiquing the 50shades books a while ago and now there’s a feud. i love it.

I’m in on this feud and I have chosen my side.

MARA WILSON, YOU HAVE MY SWORD.

And my bow.

AND MAH AXE

About a week after I raved about that picture of the lady drinking out of the “male tears” mug I received THIS IN THE MAIL FROM MAH BOYFRAN HE’S THE BEST

this is the one who actually got it as a gift from their BF, well this is one. The Chronicles of the MTM

So apparently my photo is going through all the #MRAnger blogs right now.
I think Pete and I may have hit a nerve, y’all.
Oops.

here it is in action folks, the Patriarchy is at hand.

OP, I just have to ask, how do you feel about your boyfriend having a female tears mug? Would you be fine with it or would you say it mocks them for having emotions? The reason so many of us find these things awful is that we believe they uphold the rigid gender roles in society.
I.e. men can’t show emotions are discuss their problems without being mocked for it.
We find these mugs and whatnot to be doing nothing more than perpetuating harmful attitudes and further impeding actual acceptance.

and if i may add something,
forgot, you “hit a nerve” sounds like a different way of sayin’ you triggered some people and that you do not care. i hope you know this means many people will not be able to take you seriously in the least should you want to discuss any type of rights or equality. this is not how you go about things. this is disappointing.
I’m sure your “nerve” wasn’t hit when you saw/hear about those posts, eh? couldn’t possibly be why you’re responding.

Alright let’s make this long and irritated.
Feminism doesn’t hate men. Feminism doesn’t want men to be closed-up assholes with no parental rights. Pete is the kindest, most open man I’ve ever met and I adore that about him. It’s what drew me to him.
My male tears mug is laughing at men who pitch fits about feminism. Who talk about friend-zoning and expect women to only be girlfriends or sexual objects or ugly best friends.
I TAGGED my post “male tears” so if it was something that triggered someone they should’ve fucking hid it in their blacklist. You weren’t triggered. You went out searching the feminism tag to find women to attack.
I’m sick and tired of this.
Let’s turn this around. When I originally posted this picture I received death and other such violent threats.
No one fucking cared if I was “triggered” then.

Hey y’all, I’m the boyfriend in question and I’m sorry to hear you’re all so insecure about your masculinity that you felt attacked by this. It’s a funny mug. Fuck the patriarchy.

Pete out
